Malaysian Railways Limited or Keretapi Tanah Melayu is the main railway operator in peninsular Malaysia. Railways was established in the country during British colonial era. Thus, Malaysian Railway Limited Building is one of the iconic structures in Kuala Lumpur. The building is an architectural marvel and boasts of a beautiful heritage facade. Many tourists can be seen clicking photographs of the building as well as getting themselves photographed with it. Since it is an operational railway terminus and not specifically a tourist spot, those who are not interested in history and architecture might find the place boring.
Inside the building houses one of the main stations of KTM called Kuala Lumpur. This is the nearest station to several famous attractions such as National Mosque, Islamic Art Museum and Lake Garden.
